IZAN from European Union

Izan was born in February 2008 and lived with his family of origin for approximately two and a half years. Since being removed from them, he has experienced multiple placements, including foster care and a failed domestic adoption. He currently resides in a group home. Izan is healthy and typically developing. Izan is a calm and introverted teen who shows episodes of moodiness without anxiety or depression. He can be impulsive when seeking preferred activities and may break the rules and knowingly do wrong in such situations. He is an average student who struggles with math but excels in language arts. He would benefit from being properly motivated and supported in his academic work. Izan has good conversation skills and is able to express his feelings and thoughts. His intent in communication is often to control. Ivan enjoys contacts with peers, including playing video games, soccer, and going for walks. Despite his personal history, he maintains a positive attitude toward adoption.
