KEVA from European Union

Keva was born in February 2021 and has been diagnosed with microcephaly, pyruvate dehydrogenase complex (PDHC) deficiency, strabismus, cerebral palsy (quadriparesis), and significant developmental delays. She is on a ketogenic diet with KetoCal and reduced intake of carbohydrates. Keva’s mobility is severely limited, and she cannot yet sit or stand. She reaches for things but is unable to hold them. Keva reacts to brightly colored objects and to sounds. She is nonverbal, but tries to interact with others, displaying positive emotions and smiles when someone engages with her. Keva is very attached to her foster mother and feels safe with her. She responds joyously to the voices of her foster family and laughs or cries to draw their attention. Keva needs a devoted family who can meet her life-long needs.
