Aniyah from Pennsylvania

Aniyah is an outgoing, sweet, and resilient young lady. Her sense of humor and infectious laugh are bound to make anyone crack a grin themselves! Those around Aniyah describe her as being a leader that continually sets positive examples for her peers, and as a staunch advocate for herself and for others. Aniyah's primary interest is in the world of beauty, and she often expresses herself by switching between wigs of various styles and colors, applying makeup, and doing her nails. In fact, Aniyah is in a vocational technology program where she is learning to become a nail technician! Other interests of Aniyah's include music and dancing, and her favorite styles of music are rap and R&B. She is certainly not a picky eater, and she would eat hot chicken wings every day if she could! While she is not a big TV-watcher, Aniyah does enjoy occasionally going to the movies with her friends. Aniyah's social life is important to her, and she often expresses how crucial it is to spend time with friends in person rather than just online. Aniyah is currently enrolled in her junior year of high school, and tends to achieve at grade-level or higher. Aniyah actively desires a permanent resource for herself, and would love to be adopted. She is open to being placed in a home with pets, but would prefer only one or two. Aniyah keeps in touch with members of her birth family via phone communication, and would like to maintain the opportunity to contact them at her own discretion. Due to Aniyah's age, termination of parental rights is not required in order for adoption to occur.
