Clarissa is a friendly and independent teen who enjoys drawing, playing games of all types, and cooking. She prefers to spend her time indoors rather than outside, and can often be found on her phone connecting with friends through social media. Clarissa would like to be with a family who knows what it's like to parent teens, as she wants a family to understand what's important to her and what she needs as she goes through the teen years. She is okay if there may be other children in the family but might like to be the oldest in the home. She is comfortable around cats or dogs, but definitely does not want to be placed in a home with pet snakes or spiders! She would especially enjoy being with a family who is technologically savvy, as she enjoys spending much of her time on her phone and computer. Clarissa would also like her own room for when she feels the need to cocoon and have some time by herself. Chase is Clarissa's younger brother, who is active, intelligent, and loves kindergarten, which he just started this fall. Chase enjoys active play, playing ball, running around outdoors with his friends, and watching superheroes on television. Chase has developed relationships with his foster family and has friends at school and in the neighborhood. He looks to his older sister, Clarissa, for validation and care. The siblings mean a lot to each other and need a family who can help both of them to grow and thrive. The children are in need of a family who can care for both of them together. They have relationships with extended family members and it is important for them that they can maintain these significant and positive connections. Parental rights have not been terminated for Clarissa and Chase. For more information, a family can call the SWAN Helpline at 1-800-585-SWAN or have the family worker contact the recruiter, Julie Berry, via telephone or email jberry@friendshiphousepa.org.
