Ivan from Pennsylvania

Ivan is a quiet and focused young man. Ivan has a quiet demeanor and it takes some time to get him to open up. Ivan likes to keep things short and sweet. Getting to know Ivan is extremely rewarding. After building trust he will give you a peak into his world and boy is it thrilling! Ivan really enjoys playing video games. He is not picky; he will pick up any controller and dominate the game. He is knowledgeable about most electronics. He is very attached to his cell phone. You will not find Ivan taking selfies with his cell phone though; he thinks he is the least photogenic person on earth, but with a lot of coaching and encouragement, you may be able to change his mind. Ivan is very proud of his accomplishments in school. Through the pandemic, Ivan has been able to maintain good grades and good attendance. He did admit to liking in person classes much better than virtual classes. Right now Ivan's school goals are to finish high school and attend a college. Ivan isn't set on a specific degree or trade, but feels he has time to figure it all out. When Ivan talks about a family, he mentions having a mother and a father. He would like only older siblings, as it would be beneficial for him to have someone to look up to. Ivan said he would do best with a family who is funny, chill, and sarcastic. He really values honesty. He is insisting the family be open to him keeping contact with siblings and his biological father. He believes the best way for this to be successful is for him to be close to the southwestern Pennsylvania area. If the family happens to be placed further, Ivan is open to hearing your ideas about keeping him in contact with his loved ones. Ivan likes animals, but does not feel he needs them in a home. In his current placement, he has the opportunity to live with cottage parents. He admits to really getting along well with the parents. Ivan's favorite food is Chinese food, more specifically General Tso's. He really enjoys spicy foods. As stated above, he really enjoys video games and basketball. Ivan takes a lot of pride in his hygiene and the way he smells. He prefers to shower with Bath and Body Works' soaps, preferably the Ocean scent. His favorite thing to receive is new clothes. Ivan's team is hoping to find a family that is willing to chip away at Ivan's hard exterior and get to know the loveable youth we all know is in there. I look forward to talking more about Ivan!
