Neilek

from Pennsylvania

Neilek is a young man with a million-dollar smile. He keeps everyone around him laughing. His favorite subjects in school are math and science because he believes these subjects are able to give him the best chance at success in life. Neilek has great insight for his age. When discussing his future, he talks about wanting "freedom" and to him, this means being able to afford his own things in life and supporting himself. He is crazy about sports as he is quite the athlete whether it comes to cross county, basketball or football. Neilek would prefer a mom and dad, but will consider other types of families. He is not sure about where he would like to live or if he would like siblings. He may do better with older siblings to be a positive role model for him. He would like a nice dog (meaning one that does not bite). Above all else, he would like his family to support his desire to be on a sports team. Neilek is also open to developing a positive relationship with a permanent adult connection to support him in his journey through college and into adulthood. Families considering Neilek will need to understand a prolonged visitation process prior to placement will be necessary. Families will need to accommodate travel to southeast Pennsylvania on a regular basis for this visitation. Parental rights have been terminated for Neilek. For more information a family can call the SWAN Helpline at 1-800-585-SWAN or have the family worker contact the recruiter, Skylar Bartholomew, via telephone or email sbartholomew@choreading.org.
