Alexander from Texas

Alex is young, primarily Spanish speaking boy who is an active, sweet, loveable, and energetic child. He is also a well-behaved child. For fun, Alex enjoys going to the park, water events, jumping on the trampoline, and playing with his toy cars. He enjoys being on his tablet which as an abundance of educational apps. Alex enjoys a traditional family meal where the whole family will sit together to eat. He likes Mexican food, pizza, and hamburgers. Alex can be shy, quiet, and guarded when meeting someone new; but as time progresses and he becomes comfortable, he will blossom as a good rapport is established. He likes making friends, but he may lack the initial confidence in establishing relationships. Alex loves to be around pets. He likes petting cats and dogs, which also provides a therapeutic benefit. Alex likes school, he will benefit from continued academic support.

Alex will benefit from a stable, bilingual two-parent home. His family must be culturally open and embrace his culture. They will nurture and provide Alex with the love and attention he deserves. Alex will thrive with a family who will work to help him adjust to their home. An animal friendly home is also preferred as this is one way for him to therapeutically thrive. His family will be knowledgeable of resources and have a strong support system. It is essential his family advocates for him in his academics, ensure all his needs are met, and is supportive of Alex in all areas of life.
