Devin from Texas
Devin is a quiet, yet inquisitive boy. He has a sweet disposition with a soft and quiet voice. He may be reserved at first, but when he can follow the pace he is comfortable bonding with others. He is very polite and has a natural curiosity. Devin enjoys school and he appears to be very eager to learn. Math is his favorite subject, with reading being his least favorite. Devin loves to be outside looking around and learning about new things. He really enjoys playing with his cars, swimming, riding his bike, and playing on the swing set. When he grows up, Devin would like to be a fire fighter. Devin has been diagnosed with Noonan's Syndrome and receives regular medical care to support him. Devin requires close supervision when around younger or smaller children. He can use physical ways to release his emotions like frustration and sometimes anger management is challenging for him. He will blossom with unconditional support and firm but sensitive guidance. Devin needs to be reminded and see in his caregiver's actions that he is loved and valued as much as everyone else in the family. Devin can argue his point and chose a path different from the directions he has been given at times.
Devin and Thor are a dynamic duo who are extremely close and share a sibling bond. They love each other very much and want to remain together. Devin loves to learn about new things and Thor loves being outside playing with his trucks. However, they have a lot more in common. Both boys are active and enjoy being outside riding their bikes. They also are very inquisitive. Going exploring is high on their list of priorities and they would love a forever family to lead them down new adventures. The ideal family for Devin and Thor will be able to show both boys that they are important and loved and offer activities that keep the boys engaged. These dynamos will thrive with parents who can offer them family activities as well as support each boy's individual interests. The boys have not always been treated equally, so their forever family will need to be willing to provide frequent reassurance that both boys have great value. Devin and Thor need a very structured, active family who is experienced and able to provide the nurturing, boundaries, and care these boys deserve. View our video on Big Country Heart to Heart.
Devin needs a very structured, active family who will adopt both him and his brother, Thor. He needs a family who will provide him with lots of consistency so he knows what to expect. The family will be able to show Devin through words and actions on a daily basis that he will be treated fairly and lovingly. Devin needs a family who will be committed to seeing his potential and getting him there. He will do best in a family who does not have younger children. The family will follow up with doctors as necessary for Devin's medical needs.
