Lilian from Texas

Lilian is very independent and mature youth. She is full of energy and has a very playful personality! Lilian has participated in summer sports programs, she recently attended a basketball camp and absolutely loved it. She would like to play basketball for her school junior high and future high school team. In her down time, she enjoys reading, listening to music, drawing, and doing her make-up. Lilian also enjoys writing and poetry. She really likes to listen to country and hip-hop music to keep her feeling good, it's uplifting for her. Lilian is very articulate and can verbalize her feelings. At times, Lilian can get in her own head, but she continues to practice calming herself and using coping techniques. Lilian does well when she receives redirection.

The family best suited for Lilian's needs will assist her with her emotional wellbeing and provide an unconditionally loving family setting. Lilian will thrive with a strong routine and structured parents. She will benefit from a strong mother who is very involved in her everyday activities, as well as the disciplinarian and strong at redirecting. Lilian will benefit from a family who encourages her to maintain contact with her sibling, who is not a part of this adoption. She has voiced a preference to live in a suburban area. Lilian will do best as an only child in the home or with an older sister who can serve as a positive role model for her.
