Phoenix

from Texas

Phoenix is a sweet child who is well-loved by those caring for her. She enjoys playing with toys that light up and make noises. She also enjoys watching television. Phoenix uses a wheelchair to get around, but can sit up with assistance. She enjoys being tickled and hugged. Phoenix is diagnosed with Cerebral Palsy and Autism Spectrum Disorder. She is non-verbal, but vocalizes when she is hungry, bored, or uncomfortable. She can now say words like "mama," "dada," and "purple." Phoenix takes part in an educational class in her home. She likes being read to and listening to other people's voices or singing. Phoenix also loves to be outside. She requires constant supervision due to her medical conditions. Visit me at the The Heart Gallery of Central Texas.

Phoenix would do well in a home with or without other children. Her adoptive family would need to be able to care for her special medical needs and advocate for her best care. The family would need to be willing and able to learn about Phoenix's needs and commit to her long term care. She needs a family that will be affectionate and interact with her individually.
