Savanna from Texas

Savanna is a very active girl that enjoys being involved in many extracurricular activities. She is currently involved with Girl Scouts, STEM, Twirling, and basketball. Savanna is a busy child who likes to switch from one activity to another and is often on the go. Savanna also attends a local church youth group activity every Wednesday evening and enjoys the socialization. She loves baking anything sweet such as cookies, cakes, and pies and thrives on the one-on-one time spent in the kitchen with her caregiver. She is starting to be interested in getting her nails and hair done as well as a little bit of make-up and likes anything glittery. Savanna is currently developing her daily living skills and working on learning new skills. Savanna will need extensive support and assistance on a regular basis at home as well as in school. She will thrive from continued support in developing social skills and learning how to adequately care for herself. Savanna prefers to be with others rather than alone.

Savanna's forever family will be one who offers her patience and consistency along with careful supervision. Her family will be able to spend a lot of one-on-one time with her and be willing to access the resources she needs. Savanna responds best to a predictable and structured environment. Savanna will require a family that is experienced in navigating the educational system and advocating for the best educational setting for children with different learning styles. Her family will be willing to advocate for her while providing new challenges to encourage her progress and growth.
