Te'asia from Texas

Te'Asia has a huge personality that is slowly bubbling to the surface. She loves to make others laugh, especially her sister. She is a very loving child and can be very affectionate with others. Te'Asia enjoys playing outside, making arts and crafts, and being read too. Te'Asia has difficulty in talking/communicating with people, playing with other children, and relating to her peers. This can make her very independent in her environment and in social situations. Te'Asia can become easily distracted when there is too much environmental stimulus. Te'Asia will need support and assistance on a daily and regular basis at home and at school.

Kendra and Te'Asia are both very loving girls who are full of life and show an overwhelming empathy towards animals and children younger than them. Though their verbal communication skills have been limited, this has not limited their bond with each other. In fact, it appears to have strengthened it. Both girls look for each other when separated and light up when the other enters the room. Te'Asia can easily make Kendra laugh and is very eager to hear her sister giggle. Kendra is always willing and eager to be by Te'Asia's side experiencing all the new things that they are getting to learn in school and their new environment. They love to be read to, play with dolls, do hair, complete arts and crafts, and play outside. Kendra is the oldest but often looks for her sister for comfort. Kendra appears to understand what is being asked of her more than her sister and will try to help redirect her sister if Te'Asia cannot understand. Te'Asia loves to make others laugh and appears to enjoy making her sister laugh most of all. She is extremely curious of her environment and loves to explore everything around her. The family that will be best suited for Te'Asia will be a family who understands their emotional and behavioral needs and is able to advocate for those needs in the school system and other various providers The parenting style that will be best for Te'Asia will be a style that is structured, calming, patient, and is able to provide careful supervision. The family needs to understand that Te'Asia may need support in various areas of her life until and possibly through adulthood. Te'Asia does well with other children and love dogs.
