from Texas

Trenton ("Trent") is a bright, spontaneous, and outgoing youth who enjoys staying busy and active. He is a sweet and loving youth who craves attention. Although Trent wants to be a leader to his peers, he needs guidance and redirection at times to ensure he is leading others in the most appropriate way possible. Like most teens, he needs occasional reminders and prompting to keep up with daily chores and school work. He continues to learn ways to manage his behaviors appropriately. Trent has a desire to go fishing and will enjoy a family who encourages his active, adventurous spirit. He is very active and seems to always be on the go. He also likes to watch TV and laugh at funny commercials. Equally, he enjoys being outside and riding his bike and playing ball. Curiosity and a desire for adventure will sometimes get Trent in situations that require extra assistance to get him out of those situations. He likes to explore, create, and he really enjoys science and math. Trent is a smart child who makes good grades. Loyalty is very important to him and he struggles if he feels his loyalty is not returned in equal measure. Trent tends to keep his emotions to himself and is learning how to express them in a healthy manner. Some of Trent's favorite foods include pizza, chicken tenders, and chips. A desire for a specific reward motivates Trent the most. Trent has a brother (Alexander, TARE ID# 77201) who is also available for adoption and who would like to be adopted with him. Although Trent is being recruited for individually, the hope is that his forever family will adopt both of them together. Trent enjoys playing with his brother, although they sometimes argue and often seek out validation of their own point of view from adults.

Trent will thrive with parents who provide him structure and consistency in a calm reassuring manner with a lot of love and encouragement. He may require frequent reminders about behavioral expectations and warnings for inappropriate behavior. He will respond best to parenting approaches in which behavioral goals and expectations are clearly defined and consequences are consistently applied. A family who is active and participates in sporting events or adventurous pursuits with Trent will be the best fit. Trent will thrive with a family that has a high tolerance for providing redirection and will continue to set goals and provide creative rewards upon achievement. He will greatly benefit from a family who will keep his mind engaged and be able to get Trent to buy into his educational success. Trent will best succeed with a family who will care for his well-being and provide him and his brother with a sense of belonging. Trent has a brother (Alexander, TARE ID# 77201) who is also available for adoption and who would like to be adopted with him. Although Trent is being recruited for individually, the hope is that his forever family will adopt both of them together.
