Violetta from Texas

Violetta likes to be called Alex and prefers he/him pronouns. He is a creative teen with a flair for the dramatic. Unique and with his own style, he enjoys experimenting with various trends, including his designs. He hopes to become a cosmetologist and own a business one day. He spends a lot of his spare time applying makeup and doing nails. He has recently considered becoming a tattooist - his first tattoo would be of a mushroom. He loves mushrooms and has mushroom beanies, T-shirts and socks to prove it! Alex enjoys baking, listening to music, playing games, and watching videos on TikTok. He has a good sense of humor and gets a laugh from humorous videos. His favorite movie is "The Nightmare Before Christmas"; he likes anything with the characters from that movie. Alex likes science and is a curious person. He finds most classes easy because he is very intelligent, but he would benefit from encouragement to help him stay on task and remain motivated to complete his schoolwork. He is an articulate advocate for himself and asks for what he wants. Though he is assertive in this way, he can also be quiet and takes his time building trusting relationships. Alex has a soft side and describes himself as loyal regarding friendships. He is also caring and generous.

Alex's forever family will accept and celebrate his unique personality. He would like to be a part of a family that already has children as he imagines a family with siblings, especially an older, protective brother (and a cat!) Alex's family will be welcoming of the LGBTQ community with which he identifies. Alex's family will motivate him academically and acknowledge his accomplishments with praise. They will help to bolster his self-esteem. His family will balance acceptance and love with consistent boundaries and clear expectations. Alex is sure to bring excitement to his forever family!
