Alicia, 14 My Favorite Things: I like baseball, basketball, soccer, playing cards, puzzles, and arts and crafts. I also enjoy playing video games, listening music, watching movies, swimming, and jumping on the trampoline. Things I do not like: I do not enjoy cats, people yelling, when others are unfair, bullies, when things change, being bored, and hugs from certain people. Favorite Foods: Iced coffee, ice cream, chicken fingers, french fries, and mozzarella sticks. What I want in a family: I would like a family that has young children, any animals except cats, the two parent home, chores with an allowance, phone for safety, kids my age as well. I would like to be able to play sports and have an adult that trusts me and respects boundaries. It would be wonderful if I could share a room with a sibling. What I want families to know about me: It is important for me to be able to have contact with some of my birth family. I also really find security with my stuffed animals. Someday I would like to go to Africa to visit. I trust males more than females. I struggle to deal with my emotions at times. I can make friends easily. That we want families to know about the youth: Alicia needs parents who: • Active household • Can provide a nurturing environment, set clear and firm limits, and provide consistent boundaries; • Are willing to participate in any recommended trainings and therapy sessions; • Can be patient and loving even when her behaviors are a challenge; • Can be affectionate when she wants it and patient; and • Are energetic, outgoing, and active.
