HI, we're Jamie & Kevin.
Nice To Meet You

Please know that we are praying for you and your child and wish you nothing but peace in whatever decision you make.

It takes a strong, beautiful person to consider making an adoption plan for their child, and we want you to know that we hold that so close to our hearts and know that whatever you choose, you know what is best for you and your child. And, know that you are enough. Never let anyone tell you otherwise, because just by looking at this profile, you are considering what is best for you and your child. That is the most selfless act of love someone can do for another person.

If you decide to parent, you are enough. If you decide to make an adoption plan, you are enough. Whatever your choice in the end, your child will know that you have their best interest at heart and no one can take that away from you, ever. Please know that we are praying for you and your child and wish you nothing but pea...

Our Story

Though the good times and the difficult times, there will always be unconditional love.

We met in college in 2001.
Kevin and I met in college in 2001, though we did not attend the same college. I (Jamie) was a freshman, and he was a sophomore when we met. It was over Spring Break in my home town, and our first date was dinner and a concert. Because it was close to my birthday, Kevin bought me a giant teddy bear (that was my college mascot) with a birthday balloon. Things were going really great, until, as we were walking back to his car, I stepped wrong off the curb and twisted my ankle! I tried to play it off and pretend it didn't hurt because I was so embarrassed, but he was super sweet and took care of me and got me home safely so I could tend to my ankle. I guess I didn't scare him off, because when I invited him up to a dance at my college a couple weeks later, he didn't hesitate to say yes. And the rest, as they say, is history! We dated long distance from 2001-2004 when I graduated college. I moved back home and Kevin got a job in my hometown. This was the first time in 4 years that we actually lived in the same city!

In April 2005, Kevin proposed and in June of 2006 we were married. Three months after getting married, Kevin got the opportunity to promote into a new position with his job, but it was located in a large city in Texas. We moved in October of 2006 and purchased our first home together. We moved into our current home in 2013 which is in a suburb.
Jamie Through Kevin’s Eyes…

Something silly about myself is that I love to shop, but ONLY in the sale racks. I like the thrill of the “hunt” to find a great item at a great price.

She loves family and makes a special effort to spend time with family and friends.
Jamie has a great personality and is extremely down to earth. She is super bright intellectually (finished ranked 10th out of over 500 in her high school class), and maintains a high level of good judgement in life. She works hard both in our home and in her career. She loves exercising, especially running and playing volleyball with friends and co-workers. She runs several 5k's and half-marathons each year. She also takes casual runs around our neighborhood on a regular basis and is the primary walker of our dogs!

We spend a lot of time together on the weekends, whether it's traveling to visit nearby family or traveling to out of town destinations, hanging out at the house, working in the yard, watching sports on TV (or in person), going to the gym etc. Jamie maintains solid relationships with people, both friends and family. She loves family and makes a special effort to spend time with family and friends. She enjoys spending time with our nieces and nephews and is extremely patient with them. They love her in return and I think they secretly rather her read books to them than me!

Our love truly continues to grow for one another and we enjoy each other's company. We're excited to grow our family and welcome a child into our life and share our great experiences with them!
Kevin Through Jamie's Eyes...

I'm at my silliest when I'm trying to make people laugh, most often nieces and nephews, but I really enjoy laughing with people and having a good time.

He has a strong work ethic and a deep love for his family, especially his nieces and nephews.
Kevin is easily my favorite person. He has a strong work ethic and a deep love for his family, especially his nieces and nephews. When I see him interacting with them, I can just see how wonderful a father he will be because of his patience, kindness, and joy for life.

Kevin works hard to provide for us, but he also enjoys having a good time as well. His two favorite hobbies are playing golf and hunting, and he likes to visit with and cook barbecue with his friends. Kevin is one of those people who truly likes his job, and you can see it in the passion he has for his work and those he works with. I love to hear him talk about his work even though I don't understand all the technicalities of it.

Kevin is also really funny! You might not think that upon meeting him for the first time because he is a little more quiet at first, but he has such a great sense of humor and a quick wit... he keeps me laughing constantly. Kevin is also supportive and encouraging. He has been on the sidelines and finish lines of many of my races cheering me on! He has even run a few 5Ks with me even though he does not enjoy running as much as I do! Now that's love! I can't think of a better person who balances me out and makes me a better person. I simply cannot wait to share the joy and challenge of raising a child with him.

Before You Go We Want You To Know

If you do decide to make an adoption plan, we want to assure you that we promise to respect you and never take for granted the gift of parenthood you will have given to us. We promise to cherish and love your child with our hearts and souls and to provide a safe, happy, home and life filled with opportunities, joy, laughter, and support. We have had adoption in our hearts for many years now and know that this is the path we are meant to be on. Adoption is a huge sacrifice and a blessing. It is a selfless decision for the birth mother who loves her child. But, at the same time, it is an amazing blessing for the family where the child is placed. All of this is out of true love from both the birth mother and from the adoptive parents. We are so excited for this amazing, crazy, journey ahead that will truly be a dream come true for us. We hope that this profile will give you a glimpse of who we are and how much love we have to give.

Home Sweet Home

Our home was built in 2013. We were able to select all the finishes in our house, so it really does reflect who we are and the style/colors we like. We have 3 bedrooms, 2 bathrooms, a study, and a 3-car garage. We live in a suburban, gated community and have a large covered and also uncovered patio in the backyard with mature trees and space for dogs and kids to play in the grass, which is one of our favorite places about our home. The neighborhood has a great community center, which includes a large playscape, a sport court, a tennis court, and a pool. Our favorite thing about the area where we live is that it is out of the "big city," but still close enough to enjoy all that a large city has to offer. The best thing about our neighborhood is that most of the families here are around our age with children, so we constantly see people out and about in the neighborhood...it has a great community feel, and we are excited to get involved in the community activities that our neighborhood has for children. We have two dogs, Dakota and Sadie. Dakota is a black and white Terrier mix who is 13 years old. We rescued her about 10 months after getting married and shortly after buying our first home. She loves to lick toes and sleep on the couch now that she is getting a little older. Sadie is an orange and white Brittany (a bird dog) who is 6 years old. We got her from Kevin's aunt and uncle about a year after moving into our current home. She is a very energetic dog who just loves to be loved...she loves snuggles. She is also a trained quail hunting dog and will go with Kevin on quail hunts.

Why Adoption

In 2015, we decided to start trying to conceive a child, and we tried for several years, including some fertility treatments. We have had adoption in our hearts for awhile now, and feel that this is the path we are meant to follow. Being unable to conceive a child naturally was hard, but we always felt that maybe we are meant to adopt. We are so excited to become parents and share our life's journey with a child. We have seen first-hand what an amazing adventure adoption is through both sides of our family. I, Jamie, have two cousins I grew up with who were adopted, and now one of those cousins has adopted a child too. Kevin has a cousin who adopted after having two biological children, and we have watched her grow up into a lovely adult. Seeing, hearing, and experiencing the miracle of adoption has only strengthened our commitment to loving and providing for a child through adoption. Though the good times and the difficult times, there will always be unconditional love.
