About Us
We are ready to expand our family and continue our adventure with a child.
Our Wedding
We met in high school but didn't date until we were in our twenties. We fell in love in New York City, where we went to the Halloween parade, attended comedy shows and Broadway and the Opera, attended picnics in the park, and went to concerts. Shortly after we started dating we moved in together, adopted a cat named Monty, and we married five years later in Ohio, where we are both from. We've been having the time of our lives ever since and are ready to expand our family and continue our adventure with a child.
Why Adoption
For Lauren and Justin it means growing their love through the life experience of raising a child, or children, regardless of blood.
Our family and Monty
Lauren wanted her parents to adopt when she was a little girl - she wanted an adopted brother or sister. It always interested her, and in college she wrote an essay about how she felt it was something she was meant to do. When Justin and Lauren were ready to grow their family they tried getting pregnant, but decided if it didn't happen, they would be more than happy to adopt.
Adoption is something that's always been part of their plans regardless of getting pregnant or not. They realized after they got married that growing their family doesn't mean extending a bloodline or legacy of their own biological kids. For Lauren and Justin it means growing their love through the life experience of raising a child, or children, regardless of blood. What matters to them is living a full and textured life, expanding their perspectives, and teaching love and respect along the way.
