Krissa & Gary

Hoping to Adopt (Texas)

Letter

Hi

We believe you are strong, courageous, selfless, and you are worthy.

We're Gary & Krissa.
We cannot begin to understand how you are feeling as you consider placing your child for adoption. We know you have had to make some really tough and life-altering choices. We know heartache and loss and that when you go through hard times, they seem to consume you and it feels that they may go on forever. We can also say that from our life experiences, these times, and these feelings, don't go on forever. These experiences that we go through will always be a part of us, as they shape us into who we are today.

We want you to know that before even meeting you that we believe in you. We believe you are strong, courageous, selfless, and you are worthy. We want to reassure you that we will be the very best parents we can be to your baby. We will spend the rest of our lives loving, teaching, and raising our child to be the very best person that they can be. And we will never let them forget how brave and loving you are.
Our Story

It is such a blessing and a relief to be able to come home to a place every day and just be with your people.

Photo from our wedding
We were high school sweethearts! We dated for five years and then went separate ways. Gary got married and had a daughter, Rylee. Gary's first marriage didn't work out and they divorced when Rylee was four years old. Our paths crossed again about six months later. It was really as if we never missed a beat! We were married a year later in 2010. Our wedding song was, "God Blessed the Broken Road" by Rascal Flatts. It was destiny that we were able to rekindle the love we had when we were younger. We have been married almost 10 years, this September. We love each other. We love the Lord. We love our family, especially Rylee, and we love when we get to spend time with her. We love being at home with all of our animals and relaxing outdoors.

Really, the thing we most enjoy about our life is being together. It is such a blessing and a relief to be able to come home to a place every day and just be with your people. In our case our people are a lot of animals too! We can't wait to add to our family through adoption! It has been a long road, but we are excited and thankful to have an outlet to connect us to you.

Gary
I work in the oil field watching over wells and the production. During my time off I try to make time to relax and have fun. It's important to me to keep time set aside to spend with my family. I enjoy going out and spending the day with my wife, kayaking, fishing, playing golf, or walking at the lake. We love adventures, big and small. I'm excited to add a child to our life to share our love of the outdoors. I want to teach someone about the things I love to do, while helping my child figure out what things they love to do.

Krissa
I work at a hospital on the trauma/surgical/orthopedic floor as a registered nurse. I also teach students that are about to graduate from nursing school all about our floor and what it takes to be a nurse. I love sharing my enthusiasm and passion for nursing. Being a nurse is stressful at times, and there are definitely tough days, but I have a job where I help people. I don't just help people recover physically, but there are moments when people just need a little extra compassion and I love being there for them in those moments. Both of my grandmas were in health care, one also a nurse and one as a paramedic. They were my inspirations to become a nurse too. They both had the biggest hearts, opening their arms and doors to anyone that needed a little help. I love my family. I am proud of the country dirt roads I grew up on and had many of my fondest memories growing up on the farm with my grandparents and cousins. We fished and walked the river, played on cotton bales, and ran around with all the animals on the farm. I want my children to be able to experience these things, too.
In Closing

Listen to your head and your heart.

Thank you for learning a little about us.
Together, we want to thank you for taking time to learn about us. We know you have a lot of things weighing heavy on your mind and on your heart. Take your time. Pray and ask God for answers, or if you don't pray give yourself time to reflect. We hope you will feel confident in the choice you make.

Love, prayers and air-hugs to you for now.
