More than anything, my life is centered around family.
I love time with my nephews!
More than anything, my life is centered around family. I come from a very close and very loving family. My parents have been married for over 40 years. My brother and sister both have children, and being an aunt to them is my favorite thing in the world. We all spend a lot of time together, and they would be a great support to me if I had a child of my own. Not to mention spoil that child like crazy with lots and lots of endless love and attention!
I am a very happy, easy-going, and positive person - and love spreading that on to others. I try to be the best daughter, sister, aunt, and friend that I can be because the people in my life are so important to me. I have worked for the same company for 13 years. I love what I do and that it often allows me the opportunity to bring special moments into people's lives. My company provides parents with great benefits, so I am able to provide well for a child financially and for any other important needs.
I am very creative, so I enjoy any kind of designing, writing, painting, etc. I also love traveling to many places, anywhere from the beach to the mountains. Our family has a cabin in Colorado where we all go to hike, fish, and spend fun time together.
Outside of work and family, I serve as a volunteer for a suicide prevention organization and give financially to animal rescue organizations. I am a huge animal lover!

I grew up very close with my grandparents, who I adored. My grandfather (Papa) was a minister and my grandmother (Nana) taught special education, so they both dedicated their lives to helping others. The example they set continued down throughout my family. My parents both worked in education as administrators, my sister is a speech therapist in an elementary school, my brother is a high school principal, and my sister-in-law is a junior high school math teacher. Because of what they do, they are all wonderful with kids and great at knowing how to handle both the fun and difficult situations that kids can go through growing up.
My parents, who are now "Papa" and "Mama" to my two little nephews and baby niece, are the greatest examples of strength, love, and commitment. They raised us in a very loving, safe, and supportive Christian home that was full of happiness. I was blessed with a happy childhood. My parents are so important in the lives of my siblings and me, and are there in an instant for anything that any of us may need.
My siblings are my best friends, and we have always had great relationships with one another. They are also wonderful parents to their children. My nephews are 4 and 6 years old, and full of wonderfully rambunctious and playful love. They have the best little hearts and make you laugh all day. And my niece, who is not yet two years old, is the sweetest little lamb who loves every member of our family with her whole heart. She captures you in an instant with her big smile! They all bring so much joy to my life, and I spend as much time with them as I can. I promise you that when it comes to family, your child would be engulfed in love and joy by mine!

My Work
I love the work that I do and the people that I work with. My job is in communications and community relations, so I'm work with all different types of people in a variety of ways to help promote my company. My favorite part of my job is partnering with non-profit organizations, children's hospitals, elementary schools, and charities to help raise money or grant wishes. I have worked often with the Make-A-Wish Foundation, Children's Miracle Network, rescue shelters for abused women and children, and other organizations that support homeless children, children with Down Syndrome, etc. It is very humbling to meet families who are going through difficult times, and I feel blessed by the many amazing families and children I have had the privilege of meeting throughout the years. Outside of work, I serve as a mentor for college students for the university I graduated from as well as a Junior Achievement teacher for a local high school. Coming from a family of ministers, principals, and school teachers, working with these kids is something that I really enjoy!
My Friends
I am very fortunate to be surrounded by great friends that have been in my life for a very long time - most for over 20 years. They are extended family to me, and there for anything that I need. They all know my dream of being a mom, and would fully embrace, love and support a child in my life. Most of them have little kids too, so I would have a lot of other moms to call for guidance and advice if needed. My friends' kids, who all call me Aunt Martha, have also been a large part of my life since the day each of them were born!
My Pets
Meet the furry family members! I have a 12 year old (and five pound) dog named Molly. She is extremely friendly and wonderful with little kids. My parent's dog, Lucy, is the same breed and spends a lot of time with us too. They are both snuggle bugs and very sweet natured. We have taken them on dozens of family trips and they always enjoy the adventures. Molly and Lucy are impossible not to love, so I have to admit they get pretty spoiled by us!
