We Promise

We believe God has placed you and your child in the world with great purpose. We feel love in our hearts for you and your child, and we haven't even met yet. Our promise to each other when we were married continues years later. We promise you that our love and devotion to one another is endless. Our burning desire for a family grows more and more every day. We will share our commitment with you and promise to be a caring and loving family. We promise to provide a happy and safe place that your child can call home. We promise to be encouraging, supportive, and honest no matter who your child becomes. We believe it is important to honor the child's roots so they know their history and how they became a part of our tribe. We promise to embrace your child and give them unconditional love, always! We promise we will be a family that keeps their word... to you and to your child. We promise to make sure that they know their story started because they were loved so dearly by you. Forever and ever. We are so thankful that you have decided to give life to your baby, and we feel blessed that you are considering us as potential parents. It is our promise to put our family first and foremost in our lives. Our faith in God confirms that we have been connected with you. May you feel our love and hope. May God's strength be with you every step of the way.

Our Favorite Traditions

Kevin and I are both blessed with large families. Both "sides" of our families enjoy each other's company at events like birthday parties, holiday gatherings, and Sunday brunches. It is part of our family tradition to pray before meals, enjoy the blessing of food, and appreciate the quality time we have together. We have celebrated my dear mother-in-law's 90th birthday with a HUGE surprise birthday party. It was an unforgettable event. My parents just celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary, and we enjoyed that special time as well. Naming favorites is a challenge, but these two celebrations are like no other. Family memories are precious to us.

This Is Our Home

We live in a very close-knit community. The population is around 4,500 residents. We enjoy the neighbors and friends we have made here. Kevin has lived in our town his whole life, and I was excited to move here after we were married. Our Church is just a few minutes away from our home and the local fire department runs on volunteers. We have a 4th of July parade that goes right by our house. Our family will come and watch with us before a picnic later in the day. A local pharmacy and grocery store are two examples of local family traditions that continue in our town. We enjoy the beautiful park just blocks away from our home. Our downtown riverfront is also close by and provides a number of fun activities year round. We have the convenience of a larger city "right next door." Our home, sweet home is simple and welcoming. We spend a lot of time on our patio in our backyard. We enjoy our flowers, bushes, trees, and our friends (feathers and fur). Our bird feeders are enjoyed by dozens of birds everyday, which is a beautiful scene to watch. We feel peace in this space and hope to share our home with our future family.

Why Adoption?

Kevin and I were blessed to be brought together later in our lives. We have tried for years to have a biological child. We chose to explore fertility treatments and were unsuccessful in conceiving a baby. The reality of infertility has been a hard and painful journey, but we have grown closer as a couple and to God through it all. We believe that God's plan for our family includes adoption and so we began this journey!
