Tolya was adopted from a Russian orphanage when he was 5-years-old. Wishing to see where her son came from and what he experienced early in his life, Tolya’s mother takes a trip to Russia to explore his beginnings. A camera crew followed and this video is the result.
This video shows us what children need, how they are cared for, and something of the matching process. There are caregivers and helpers at the orphanages who really do care for the children, but an orphanage is not a traditional family. There are things that are missing no matter how much love the caregivers offer.
There are hundreds of thousands of orphans world-wide that all have hope that they will someday find their forever families.
